U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Census Report July 15, 2009- An astounding 1 in 5 Americans watch birds.  Participation rates vary from state to state, but Iowa is one of the top 5 states with the greatest birding participation with a rate of 33%.


Would you like to learn more about birds, help protect the environment we share and work to diminish climate change?  Then join the Audubon Society.

The Dubuque Audubon Society (DAS) is a local chapter of the National Audubon Society (NAS).  With NAS membership you receive 6 issues/yr of the beautiful, interesting and informative AUDUBON magazine and also become a member of DAS and  receive 9 issues/yr of  PILEATED DRUMMINGS which includes articles of local interest and a calendar of monthly program meetings, field trips and special events and projects.

Through an NAS sponsored program, the Dubuque Audubon Society offers a free 1yr membership to the National Audubon Society for new members. We also offer a Dubuque Audubon Society only membership for $20 per year. Member or not, everyone is welcome to attend our programs, field trips and events. Come join us.
